AS OLD AS TIME
FATIN MUHIDDIN

A girl who is not that good in keeping a diary. I have no any other intentions of creating this blog except for the older me to reminisce her younger days while having some biscuits and a cup of tea in bed.

Internship.

So i've started my internship about 6 weeks ago. Im already halfway through and i still have 6 more weeks left! I so cannot wait for it to be over cause working life is super tiring. I cant hangout that often with my friends cause i always feel tired and sleepy whenever i got home from work. Sigh.. I dont think that i am ready for working life. How i wish i have a few years of studying left. Haha

What im doing right now is try to learn as much as i can at the site within this three months period, witness the processes and i cant believe that i am saying this but it is kind of interesting! Finally after so many years of studying the theoretical part of the process (which is boring and never failed to make me feel sleepy in class), seeing the process with my own eyes just makes everything clearer. With such a nice people at the site who tried their best to explain to us in detail about everything. That, i could not be more grateful. I feel super lucky to be given such opportunity and to be surrounded with people who likes to treat us breakfast, lunch, and also drinks. That is probably the best part of all i must say. Hehe. Thank you thank you.

For the first few days, I had some difficulties in adjusting myself. There were a few people who tried to demotivate me and my friend cause to them civil engineering and girls just dont compliment each other. Some of the words that they said to us :

"Saya rasa awak dah salah pilih course ni"

and he went on talking about how he kinda feel regret for entering this course and etc.

"Good morning young lady, what are you doing here?"
"Im a trainee here." *smiles*
"Oh i think you are in the wrong business"

He smiled and then he walked away.
Mr Michael laughed. and I made a fake laugh..

and to tell you the truth, i was feeling sooo demotivated to the point that i feel regret for choosing this course. And in my head i started to blame everyone for encouraging me to take this course. But then, before it gets worse, i stopped myself and tried to convince the inner me that everything happens for a reason. Haha typical...

And at that time the only person who have faith in us, is of course, our supervisor Mr Michael. Out of all people, he was the only one who put some positivity in the situation .

"Nevermind, they can work in QA/QC department maa"

Thats what he said when someone tried to question us on why we chose this course. Sigh i super sayang him.

but i have to agree though. At the site that we always go, we are the only two girls lingering around under the hot sun trying to suck in all the information that Mr Michael pours on us. Most of the female engineers will usually stay in the office and do the office work. They didnt go to the site that often. But for the sake of learning and gaining some knowledge, im not gonna complain that much. I will try my best to bear with the hot scorching sun, oversized safety vest ( that makes me look like im wearing a jubah ) , sweats and muddy safety boots...
